Max and Suzanne Taylor's
Jayakarta Apartments
Guests testimonials
We have many guests return every year and we think "word of mouth" is the best advertising one can receive.
Yvonne and Brett - Australia (Sept 2008)
I would like to pass comment on the Apartments we stayed in 2 weeks ago. Suzanne you were wonderful in supplying us with accommodation even if it meant swapping rooms and working around us and we could not be more grateful for that.
I have stayed with you several times now but my new partner had never been to Bali, we absolutely loved the accommodation and being able to relax and watch movie of an evening if we wanted. As you know we were married on the beach in Seminyak and the staff at the Jayakarta were wonderful taking photos with our camera in the glorious gardens.
Suandi as usual was ever so helpful and easily contactable. The rooms are spotless and maintained daily. Brett couldn’t believe after I made the bed each day and then we would go out and come back and the bed would be remade beautifully, he says I needed lessons from the staff.
The most important thing for us travellers to Bali whom shop ourselves stupid is the security of keeping items in your accommodation. We left out t shirts, handbags, movies etc and nothing is ever touched or stolen by the staff which is a great credit to you as we all know our beautiful BALI can be corrupt.
Once again fantastic accommodation, fantastic location, beautiful staff.
Looking forward to returning next year.
Kind regards,
Yvonne and Brett

For any travellers,
I and 15 of my friends and family stayed in the Taylor's Jayakata apartments we
had 6 all up this time. I can only say that this was my 4th trip to Bali and I
have always stayed in hotels, this time i was going to be there for 3 weeks so I
decided I needed more room, It was the best decision I could have made, The
Taylor Apartments are simply lovely. They are well decked out, the pictures do
not do them justice, they are roomy and comfortable, the staff are completely
accommodating and even though I only arrived home a week ago I have already
booked A Taylor unit for next trip. If you are thinking of booking but a little
skeptical I have no problem with Suzanne giving you my email. I do not know
Suzanne nor her husband however all the dealings I have had with her have been
both friendly and helpful. You would not be sorry if you book with these people,
to the point that my friends who I booked for bought me flowers for getting it
so right.
Thank you for making our holiday the best it could be.
Tess

Dear Suzanne & Max,
Yasmin Khan - January 2007 (2 brm apartment)
>Dear Suzanne,
>Happy to make transfer tomorrow, pls forward bank details again.
>
>As for my comments, yes pls use them and also add that I believe the photos
>on the site do no 'true' justice of the apartment. You have to see it to
>believe how beautiful, practical and clean it is. The apartment has
>alovely ambience, with a mix of modern and balinese decor. Truly a gorgeous
>place to stay for couples and the whole family. We used the blender to make
>fresh smoothies, the grill for cheese and tomato toasties. There's
>everything you need to cook up a storm, even a wok!
>
>Everything was in working order, the cooling in every room was great. We
>stayed with 3 children, very comfortably. We even got a cot for our baby,
>for free! The grounds of the apartment including the landscape, the
>restaurant and the numerous pools, are spectacular. Close to Kuta beach
>around 15,000 rupiah taxi, but hold there's more. You can take the Jayakarta
>residence & hotel FREE shuttle bus to central Kuta every 2 hours, beginning
>at 9.30 am. However Legian shops are great too! We would stay at Suzanne's
>place again, without a doubt.
>
>Hope you like what I have added, and I truly mean it too!
>Thanks again.

Our family of five (2 adults & 3 children
aged 11, 8 & 6yrs) traveled to Bali in July / August 2005 and stayed in a
private 2 bedroom apartment at the 'A' Residence of the Hotel Jayakarta. This
was organised for us by Andrew of bali.co.nz and it was FANTASTIC! The apartment
included a well equipped kitchen, dining area (with lovely teak table & 6
chairs), lounge (with TV / DVD), 2 bedrooms (with TV / DVD in the Master and a
TV in the second) and 2 bathrooms. The apartment was beautifully decorated and
being a private apartment had nicer than average furniture / décor and included
all those little ‘extras’ you don’t get in a hotel room like a kids night light
in the bathroom and NZ adaptor plugs in the power sockets! Also the water cooler
in our room was kept full all the time so we didn’t need to buy water. A private
cleaner came in daily and the apartment was kept absolutely spotless. The
apartments are located a short walk from the pool area however we didn’t find
this to be a problem (actually this meant we were closer to the shops

Stayed in one of Suzanne's apartments last year. Three new, wonderful quiet air/conditioners in our two bedroom apartment.
Everything was new and in good condition. (plumbing was...Bali plumbing, ie. a bit slow) good DVD player, new sheets, bedding, etc.
I believe she has a few apartments, one and two-bedroom, some with interconnecting rooms.A bit further away from the pool than the hotel rooms,
but for the extra space, and great rates, as compared to what Flight Centre offered us for an apartment, was well worth it.Her manager/assistant in Bali
was also more than helpful with any advice we required. He also organised a great driver with a good car and so forth.Suzanne has the integrity
not to use this forum for advertising but if you need any help searching the archives for her details please contact me. She has her own
web-site, blog ....er...what-ever you call it.For newcomers to Bali, as to ensuring you have a nice stay, Suzanne and co.(in Bali)
from our experience, are worth their weight in gold.

Had a great time in Bali and really enjoyed staying at your apartment.
Hopefully I may have generated some business for you as a number of people we met at the Jayakarta were impressed by our
description of your apartment so I gave them your website and they said they would try and book through you. Hopefully they will
not book the same dates as we may want next year !!!Suandi and his sister were most helpful during our stay.

>Hi Suzanne,>>This is to let you know that I greatly enjoyed staying in your apartment(s) >in Bali.
I enjoyed the extra space an apartment provides compared to a >hotel room.
The location of the Jayakarta was also perfect. Walking >distance to everything needed and on the beach.
>>Your food advise for Warung Murah was very helpful, although I found next >door Warung Melati just as good.
Together they provided 90% of my meals >during my one month stay. (I love Indonesian foods).
>>Suandi was very helpful and managed to get me in another apartment for the >5 days I could not book through you.
>>Ketut is really the best housekeeper I ever met in Bali. Very precise and >methodically. Great.
>>I have no negatives to report and I will certainly advise my friends to >book through you when going to Bali.

I just returned from & spent a few days at Jayakarta in a privately
owned one bedroom apartment which should sleep four. It was $65 per night
and has everything that opens & closes including fully equipped kitchen,
DVD player, beach towels & safe drinking water. Highly recommended.
The three pools & beach are a five minute walk from the apartments.
A big advantage of the apartments location is that you are near the main entrance & its so close & easy to duck out
to eat, shop etc. I think the sleeping arrangement other than the bedroom was a double sofa bed in the loungeroom
so if the teenagers are happy with that all well & good. The bathroom was accessible from both the bedroom and the
hallway so no-one gets disturbed should someone need a twinkle in the night. Alternately I believe they have a bigger apartment
which has an another bedroom but is a bit dearer.
I asked them many questions before making my decision and they are very pleasant to deal with & most helpful. Hope you find the right place.
Hurley.

My 3 children (aged 18, 17, and 10) and myself have just returned from a stay
at Jayakarta residences- It will be a perfect option for your childs ages.
We took a 2 bedroom apartment, though they do have one bedroom apts too!
Very large accomodation in a great location.
*2 bedrooms/ both carpeted and with adjoining balcony)
*2 bathrooms
*lounge with leather couches/
*lovely kitchen- granite benches/ SS cooktop, micro, large fridge
*dining with large six seater table
* 3 SPLIT SYSTEM AIR CON UNITS
* 3 TVS AND 3 DVD PLAYERS (SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM IN LOUNGE)
* BALCONY
* room service and full housekeeping daily
* approx 9 or 10 sq so very ample in space
I have stayed in many hotels in Bali- and found this a great haven with
children, as I normally travel alone.
there is 2 lifts to the room that actually work!
When we stayed at Dynasty, this was not the case .
Will post JBR today regarding all the accommodation and experiences (Good and
Bad)regarding our stay.
I have no negative comments regarding this accommodation as I find my children to
be an excellent judge when it comes to crossing off our wish list- and they
liked the privacy, space and comfort afforded to them here.
Here is the link- you will find very reasonable daily rates $ with them, and
this has to be a bonus when travelling with children.
When I started pricing accommodation for us we found the eldest children to be
classed as adults - therefore most hotels suggested 2 rooms as alot will not put
3 adults in one room - if that makes sense.
PS: we have a very good, extremely honest, inexpensive driver
that I have been using for 3 years-
His name is 'little Jonny' speaks excellent English
charges around 30$AUS a day and that is including anywhere on the island, and he
also took us up to Lovina, stayed the night , then on to Amed, lowest price deal
around, considering he knows all the shortcuts and the best routes so you can
include many sites IE: monkey forest, volcano, snorkelling all in one day!
The children much prefer him, as the tour buses waste so much time driving
around picking up everyone from their hotels.
His contact number is 081 79770737 (in Bali)
- or from Aust mobile( +62 81 79770737) you just drop the '0'
and add +62
